Kura Kura Bali Welcomes BIRU: New Milestone in Sustainable Development

Kura Kura Bali Welcomes BIRU to Advance Conservation and Sustainable Development

Konservasi Indonesia (KI), Conservation International (CI), Kura Kura Bali, and MAPCLUB have inaugurated the Blue Intelligence Resource Unit (BIRU), a collaborative hub dedicated to supporting conservation efforts across Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region.

BIRU aims to promote conservation initiatives, support Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and strengthen biodiversity protection through collaboration among government, private sector, academic institutions, NGOs, and local communities.

As a joint initiative, BIRU will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and innovative financing solutions that connect conservation efforts with broader public participation.

President Director of Kura Kura Bali, Tuti Hadiputranto, welcomed the partnership and highlighted Kura Kura Bali’s role as an ideal environment for collaboration and sustainable innovation.

“We hope BIRU will contribute meaningfully to conservation programs and inspire similar initiatives across Indonesia,” she said.

Through BIRU, the partners reaffirm their commitment to advancing the blue and green economy, strengthening environmental stewardship, and creating long-term positive impact for nature and communities.
