Exploring the Connection Between Music and the Brain at Kura Kura Bali
Kura Kura Bali continues to strengthen its role as a hub for knowledge and innovation through the “Music and Brain: Imaging Imagination – Musical Creativity and The Brain” workshop held at the UID Campus from 9–11 January 2026.
Organized in collaboration with Tsinghua University, the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA), and Indonesia’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the event brought together leading scientists, policymakers, educators, and researchers to explore how music influences brain development, health, creativity, and human behavior.
The workshop featured renowned neuroscientist Prof. Charles Limb from the University of California, San Francisco, who shared groundbreaking research highlighting music’s role in mental well-being, learning, and social connection.
Deputy Minister Prof. Stella Christie praised Kura Kura Bali for creating a space where science, education, industry, and the public can come together to exchange ideas and advance knowledge.
The three-day program included scientific discussions, technology demonstrations, musical performances, and public lectures, reinforcing Kura Kura Bali’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and lifelong learning.
